East Celebrates a Commanding 42-17 Football Win Over West

Make no mistake about it. The East/West football rivalry is still "the" game in town, and football fans knew it as soon as they entered War Memorial Field on Friday evening. Few events generate the level of enthusiasm, school spirit and intensity that has become a trademark of this decades-old tradition.

This year the Patriots scored first, they scored with precision, and they never gave up the lead throughout the evening. Solid teamwork generated the Patriots' 42 points, resulting in touchdowns by Devon Passman (2), Nick Seeger (2), Teddy Trymbiski and Nick Miller, along with extra points by Peter Benz at each TD.

A few action photo "favorites" from the game are included below... and we'll be posting our multi-media slideshow of images soon. So watch this space closely!!!

Zuke's 12-Week Update!!!

It's difficult to believe we've had Zuke for just over 5 weeks now, but he's already 12 weeks old this week! We're trying really hard to expend his boundless puppy energy with lots of exercise, but Zuke is gaining the weight that I'm losing -- which I guess is a good thing!!! Here are a few photo favorites during his first month with us...

Zuke romping with his favorite toy... and hopefully releasing LOTS of energy!!!

Looks like we may have tired him out a bit here...

And he actually sat still for 2 seconds while we captured this pose...

And if you forgot what Zuke looked like when he first arrived, here are two early photos. The first photo is with Misty, my brother-in-law's 7-year-old yellow lab. And the last photo is from a series taken during Zuke's first time playing outside in our yard.

Patriots Dominate Rams in 35-8 Varsity Football Victory

From the opening Patriot kick-off to a game-closing, 83-yard kickoff return TD by Devon Passman, Central Bucks East dominated Pennridge last Friday evening in an away-game at Poppy Yoder Field. Stunning performances by the Patriots offense, defense and special teams kept the Rams in check all evening. Only late in the 4th quarter did the Rams manage their lone TD along with a 2-point conversion. Other than that moment, the game clearly belonged to the Patriots with multiple TD's by Devon Passman (3 TD's) and Adam Bitzer (2 TD's). Four extra point kicks by Peter Benz and a single extra point kick by Jay Leventhal rounded out the 35 points on the Patriot's side of the scoreboard.

Some photo highlights are included below:

In addition, 173 newly mastered images from the Pennridge game have been added to the CB East Varsity Football 2007 Season photo album, 134 of which are included in the following 3-minute Photoshow:

Patriots Win Football Season Opener in Triple Overtime, 35-28

Season openers don't get more exciting and intense than CB East's opening game against Abington, where Patriot fans were treated to a Labor Day weekend, Patriot "come-from-behind" upset win over the Ghosts in triple-overtime 35-28. The score was tied 14-14 (Patriot touchdowns by Matt Spencer and Kyle Wylie) when regulation time ran out, and riveting excitement filled War Memorial Field as both teams headed into overtime.

In the first two ensuing overtime periods, the Patriots and Ghosts each scored touchdowns (Devon Passman TD's for the Patriots in each OT period). But in the third overtime period, Devon Passman scored his third overtime TD of the evening, while the Patriot's defense successfully shut down the Ghosts OT offensive maneuvers -- giving the Patriots their season-opening 35-28 upset win.

Some photo highlights from the entire evening are included below, along with a 3-minute 20-second, 188-image Photoshow:
