The Lady Patriots closed out their 2007 season last night with an early playoff round loss to Abington. Most of the CB East goals came in the second half of the game. But by that time, the Lady Ghosts had a commanding lead coming off a 12-2 half-time break. The final score was 18-8.

Congratulations to the Lady Patriots for a great 2007 winning season... and best of luck in the future to all the senior members of the team!

Patriots Hold On for Victory Over Titans

Normally, when opposing teams only score one goal each, the score would be tied 1-1. But yesterday, the scoreboard started with CB East leading 8-7 with only 6 minutes 28 seconds remaining in a game suspended due to lightning on May 1st.

One goal by CB South's Chris Mohapp... answered quickly with one goal by CB East's Kyle Quist... followed by a spectacular save by CB East goalie Chase Kulda were the key events finalizing the win for the Patriots. And while this segment of the game was short on time, it definitely wasn't short on intensity and emotion -- as highlighted in the following photos:

The 9-8 win by CB East helps keep the Patriots' hopes alive for both the Suburban One League title as well as "post-season" participation in the upcoming EPSLA Tournament.

Game #1 of this season's CB East/West girls lacrosse rivalry goes to CB West in the game's final minutes.

In cold and blustery weather more reminiscent of a late-autumn football evening, the first of two scheduled East/West girls lacrosse games this season took place under the lights at War Memorial Field last night. Those in attendance couldn't have asked for a more exciting finish to a match that was largely dominated by CB West in the first half. But CB East fought back from a 9-2 half-time deficit to tie the game 9-9 leaving less than two minutes remaining on the clock. Although the Lady Patriots had 2nd-half momentum on their side, the Lady Bucks scored what became the game-winning goal during those two minutes -- sealing a 10-9 victory over their East rivals. Some photo highlights are featured below:

Scarves, gloves, heavy coats and blankets were part of the evening's attire for anyone watching from the stands and the sidelines!

CB East boys varsity lacrosse starts first week with 3 wins

Week #1 for CB East boys varsity lacrosse proved to be a strong one as the Patriots opened their season with 3 consecutive wins: 17-5 in their season opener against Wissahickon last Friday evening, following with a 22-1 route over Norristown on Tuesday and an 11-6 win over Council Rock North yesterday. Click on the "online proofing" link to the right to view full photo coverage, and a few photo highlights are included below:

And who is this? It appears Patriots head coach Bruce Garcia has added a new "honorary member" to the team this year. 3-month old Kona hasn't seen much time on the field as of yet, but she's already a frequent visitor on the sidelines!!! The look in Kona's eyes here tells us with 100% certainty that Coach Garcia has a new friend for life.

David Nicholas Creatives kicks off Spring 2007 Action Sports Coverage

On March 14th, David Nicholas Creatives L.L.C. began its Spring 2007 action sports coverage with a Central Bucks East boys lacrosse program scrimmage vs.Conestoga. The CB East Patriots return this year to defend their title as Suburban One League champions, extending their post-season play last year all the way to the Eastern PA Scholastic Lacrosse Association (EPSLA) state tournament semifinals.

As a tribute to last year's team as well as an inspiration for this year's returning and new team members, we've retrieved the PhotoShow we produced last season from our archives. Somehow, it almost seems like yesterday.

Best of luck to the Patriots in 2007!!!
