Patriots Win Football Season Opener in Triple Overtime, 35-28

Season openers don't get more exciting and intense than CB East's opening game against Abington, where Patriot fans were treated to a Labor Day weekend, Patriot "come-from-behind" upset win over the Ghosts in triple-overtime 35-28. The score was tied 14-14 (Patriot touchdowns by Matt Spencer and Kyle Wylie) when regulation time ran out, and riveting excitement filled War Memorial Field as both teams headed into overtime.

In the first two ensuing overtime periods, the Patriots and Ghosts each scored touchdowns (Devon Passman TD's for the Patriots in each OT period). But in the third overtime period, Devon Passman scored his third overtime TD of the evening, while the Patriot's defense successfully shut down the Ghosts OT offensive maneuvers -- giving the Patriots their season-opening 35-28 upset win.
